Panasonic Corporation of North America will move its headquarters to downtown Newark in 2013, bringing 1,000 jobs to the city. A new office tower will be built adjacent to Penn Station and along the Passaic River. Teachers Village
Teachers Village, currently under construction in the downtown Halsey Street corridor, will create 224 units of workforce housing targeted at Newark teachers, 65,000 square feet of retail space, over 100,000 square feet for three charter schools, and a daycare center.
